Waterfronts: Accessible, Viable, Ecological, Sustainable

Safeguarding our city's "Old Florida" charm, while revitalizing our waterfronts and improving your public access to them, is what the Bradenton Beach WAVES Committee is all about.

WAVES is a dynamic collection of business owners, citizens, and representatives of local planning and action groups, working together to promote the principles embodied in its name: public access, economic viability, ecologically sound best management practices, and the sustainability of its waterfront community.

Bradenton Beach is unique among a dozen or more designated "Waterfronts Florida Partnership" communities, in that the entire city is designated as a working waterfront. With its rich history as the economic center of Anna Maria Island, no matter where you stand, you are never more than 350 feet from a waterway.
